Tài liệu trình bày kiến trúc mạng nơ-ron nền PatchTST để dự báo chuỗi thời gian đa biến. Mô hình chia mỗi chuỗi đầu vào thành các đoạn chồng lấn, chiếu từng đoạn vào không gian đặc trưng được học, thêm mã hóa vị trí rồi xử lý chuỗi thu được bằng các lớp mã hóa Transformer xếp chồng. Bộ mã hóa xử lý độc lập từng biến đầu vào qua lớp chú ý, sau đó đầu dự báo ánh xạ các đoạn đã mã hóa sang chân trời mục tiêu.

Kiến trúc còn hỗ trợ chuẩn hóa từng mẫu có thể đảo ngược, đệm cuối tùy chọn, dropout, chú ý phần dư và đầu dự báo dùng chung hoặc đầu riêng cho từng biến. Các lựa chọn thiết kế này cung cấp cách kiểm soát chuẩn hóa, độ bao phủ đoạn, năng lực mô hình và việc chia sẻ tham số giữa các biến. Tài liệu được cung cấp là mã triển khai chứ không phải thí nghiệm giao dịch: tài liệu không nêu nhóm tài sản, phương pháp đánh giá hay kết quả dự báo.

Khi dùng trong nghiên cứu định lượng, kiến trúc nền là một thành phần mô hình hóa, chứ không phải bằng chứng về lợi thế dự báo. Hiệu suất phụ thuộc vào chuẩn bị dữ liệu, độ dài và bước trượt của đoạn, cấu hình mô hình, quy trình huấn luyện và xác thực ngoài mẫu. Phần trích dẫn không hướng dẫn về chi phí giao dịch hay xây dựng danh mục.
