Examples of Quantitative Trading Competitions

Article Quant Q&A · Author: Idonknow

Summary

The document lists a small set of quantitative trading competitions in response to a Singapore-based participant seeking opportunities beyond the International Quant Championship and SMU Alphathon. It mentions a stock-prediction model competition run by XTX Markets, along with a technical assessment used as a preliminary stage. It also names the Algo Challenge Association, which holds global algorithmic trading contests.

The association’s competitions vary their underlying market across editions, with examples spanning foreign exchange, equities, and crypto. The document does not compare eligibility, dates, formats, prizes, or the quality of the platforms, and the cited opportunities may change over time. It is a brief directory-style answer rather than instruction on designing or evaluating trading strategies.

I am interested to participate quantitative trading competitions. I am residing in Singapore.

The only quant trading competitions that I know are International Quant Championship (IQC) and SMU Alphathon.

Are there anymore quant trading competitions either in Singapore or online?

XTX are running a competition for a stock prediction model https://challenge.xtxmarkets.com

There is also a technical assessment as a precursor.

Check out Algo Challenge Association (https://algochallenge.org/). They organize global algo-trading competitions every year. Each time the theme will have different underlying market (eg. FX, Equity, Crypto, etc).

The quant platform (https://algogene.com) used in their contests is really sophisticated and powerful.
