Finding Country-Level Global Equity Valuation Data
Summary
The document asks where to find country-level stock market valuation measures, such as CAPE and price-to-earnings ratios, after an earlier source stopped updating. It points readers to two ways to gather comparable information: a regularly updated country-level forward P/E dataset and country-specific exchange-traded fund pages that report valuation metrics.
The suggestions are practical starting points for fundamental investors seeking broad international comparisons. The answer describes the forward P/E data as updated weekly, with a cited update date, and presents ETF holdings data as a proxy for a country’s market. It does not compare the providers’ calculation methods, coverage, or historical consistency, and it gives no evidence that the measures are directly comparable across countries. ETF-based figures may describe the fund’s holdings rather than a complete national market. The recommendations are therefore pointers to data sources, not a valuation framework or investment conclusion.
Key ideas
- Country-level forward P/E data can support comparisons of international equity valuations.
- ETF provider pages may offer valuation measures for country-specific market exposure.
- Fundamental investors should check how each source defines and updates its reported metrics.

# Global stock market valuations # Global stock market valuations I am looking for reasonably up to date resources on global stock market valuations by country, using e.g. CAPE and PE. In the past I have used this resource: starcapital.de, but the updates have been discontinued (I have asked). Are there any other, roughly similar, resources? ## Answer by Mild_Thornberry (score 4, accepted) https://quant.stackexchange.com/a/61719 Yardeni has lots of great valuation information. Below is a link to the forward P/E ratio by country, as requested. The update date is March 10, and the frequency is weekly, so this is probably as timely as one would ever need it to be if one is doing fundamental investing. https://www.yardeni.com/pub/mscipe.pdf ## Answer by pappu (score 0) https://quant.stackexchange.com/a/61706 I usually check it via iShares website for country specific ETFs. They have ETFs for many countries and it can be used as a good proxy to invest easily to these countries. For example, this site provides P/E and other information for Singapore: https://www.ishares.com/us/products/239678/ishares-msci-singapore-capped-etf
