Finding Delayed Eurex Option Quotes for European Stocks

Article Quant Q&A · Author: Alex Craft

Summary

The document answers a request for an inexpensive source of current option-chain data for European stocks such as Bayer, Siemens, Volkswagen, and Daimler. It points to Eurex, where many of these companies’ options are listed, and says market information can be accessed free with a 15-minute delay.

The response is a brief pointer rather than a guide: it does not explain how to retrieve the chain, identify which contracts are covered, or assess quote quality. The source may suit someone who can tolerate delayed data and partial coverage, but the document does not establish that the data is comprehensive or suitable for live trading.

Key ideas

  • Many European company options are listed on Eurex.
  • The response identifies free Eurex information with a 15-minute delay as a possible source.
  • The document does not explain the retrieval process or confirm coverage and data quality.

# Free or cheap data source for the current European Options prices?

Is there a free or cheap (<15$/month) data source for the current (not historical) for European Options?

Something like Yahoo Finance option page, with option chain contract prices. It's ok if it's partially incomplete and slightly outdated.

For European companies like Bayer AG, Siemens, Volkswagen, Daimler etc.
