Using TqReplay for Historical Market Replay and Trading Practice

Article TqSdk

Summary

The document explains a terminal feature that replays an entire historical trading day. A user chooses a date when launching the replay version of the terminal, then uses the software and its extensions as though operating during that session. Playback can be paused or sped up or slowed down with an on-screen control.

Replay mode opens a simulated trading account with initial capital of 1 million, allowing users to practice trading against the historical session. To return to normal operation, the user exits and restarts the terminal. The material describes the feature and basic operating steps, but gives no evidence about simulation fidelity, data coverage, transaction costs, or whether replay results generalize to live trading.

Key ideas

  • TqReplay reconstructs the market activity of a selected historical trading day.
  • Users can pause playback or adjust its speed while using terminal features.
  • Replay mode provides a simulated account with initial capital of 1 million for practice.
  • Returning to normal terminal use requires exiting and restarting the software.
  • The document does not assess replay accuracy or the transferability of practice results to live trading.
