Visualizing Broker Stop and Freeze Levels on a Trading Chart
Summary
This read-only indicator displays a broker’s current Stops Level and Freeze Level as chart references. Its dashboard also shows Bid, Ask, spread, the levels in points and price distance, tick size, volume limits and increments, and supported filling modes. Optional lines illustrate price areas relevant to Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders and their associated stop-loss geometry; freeze-level references can also be displayed.
The indicator refreshes on a timer and can log changes to symbol specifications. If the broker reports a zero stop or freeze level, it omits the corresponding lines and reports the zero value. These references are diagnostic aids, not confirmation that an order will be accepted: broker conditions can change, and requests still require direction-specific checks against current conditions. The indicator does not place, modify, or delete orders, and the document provides no performance testing.
Key ideas
- The indicator displays broker stop and freeze distances as chart references.
- It also reports quote, spread, tick, volume, and order-filling specifications.
- Users can configure refresh timing, reference lines, and change logging.
- Zero broker levels are reported without drawing corresponding reference lines.
- The displayed geometry does not guarantee order acceptance, so each request must be checked against current broker conditions.
