Hypothesis

Test equal-base-quantity, opposite DOGE perpetual positions on synchronized 1-DAY bars. Require persistent funding dispersion, hold for weeks, and reject an unfavorable entry basis. Use all actual overlapping bar and funding history. Market orders execute at the signal bar close, the capability registry equivalent of next-bar-open execution on continuous venues. Separate instruments support opposing positions without hedge mode; fills are sequential, not guaranteed atomic. Funding mechanics are documented by [Hyperliquid](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/funding) and [Bybit](https://www.bybit.com/en/help-center/article/Funding-fee-calculation?category=cd60af6303161fd598). Current runner.py credits funding despite a stale statement in data_specification.md; use existing engine accounting without adding strategy-level credits.

Backtest and paper results are hypothetical. Trading involves risk of loss.
