DOGE–SHIB Relative Leadership: Cross-Venue Close-Only Supertrend Pair
Hypothesis
Derived by the Research Lead from kapsystem, SuperTrend Bot v6 Delta Exchange: test directional persistence of DOGE versus SHIB rather than outright coin direction. Source: https://www.tradingview.com/script/plslWgCa-SuperTrend-Bot-v6-Delta-Exchange/ (local archived full script read). Trade DOGEUSD.HYPERLIQUID against SHIBUSDT.BYBIT on synchronized 4-HOUR bars. This is an operationalization, not the author's strategy: replace candle Supertrend with an explicitly close-only relative-price version, choose the pair and venues, and replace fixed contract quantity with capped account-relative sizing. Market orders execute at the signal bar close, the registry's equivalent of next-bar-open execution on continuous venues. No independent opposing positions on one instrument, queue advantage or exchange-hosted protection is required. Dollar balance reduces common market exposure but does not guarantee beta neutrality.
Long-only is the largest portfolio excess (75.5% versus at most 55%); this paired long-short test also adds Hyperliquid and cross-venue exposure. Options are further below their venue target, but recent option-leg feasibility failures argue for a linear implementation here. Corpus concentration was empty, so instrument-share compliance cannot be verified. Snapshot searches found DOGE-SHIB mean reversion and outright Supertrend variants; this tests persistence of relative leadership, with opposite trade polarity to spread reversion, rather than renaming either. No preliminary performance study was used.
Implementation
Trades synchronized DOGE/SHIB close-only relative Supertrend flips with equal entry-dollar long/short legs, fill-anchored 8% intrabar stops, stale-feed and incomplete-pair exits. Continuous-venue market fills use signal-bar close as the registry equivalent of next-bar open.
Implements the specified relative log-price Wilder bands and bearish initialization; enters only on fresh flips, confirms closures before reversal, and blocks re-entry after failures until a later flip. Each leg is capped at 10% of combined MTM equity, reduced only by trailing paired-book volatility, with independent venue collateral and eight-daily-move headroom checks. Bounded rolling return history is serialized as scalar state for restart persistence. Rounded-down quantities can leave a precision-sized entry imbalance; existing positions are never rebalanced. Platform costs include the registered slippage floor; funding is not used as an edge, and adverse-carry sensitivity remains a reporting task.
Backtest and paper results are hypothetical. Trading involves risk of loss.
