PatchTST: Transformer basado en parches para pronosticar series temporales

Resumen

Este documento presenta la arquitectura de red neuronal PatchTST para pronosticar series temporales multivariantes. Divide cada serie de entrada en parches solapados, proyecta cada parche en un espacio de características aprendido, añade codificaciones posicionales y procesa la secuencia resultante con capas apiladas de codificador Transformer. El codificador trata cada variable de entrada por separado en la pila de atención; después, una cabeza de predicción transforma los parches codificados en predicciones para el horizonte objetivo.

La arquitectura también admite normalización reversible por instancia, relleno opcional al final, dropout, atención residual y una cabeza de pronóstico compartida o cabezas separadas para cada variable. Estas decisiones de diseño permiten controlar la normalización, la cobertura de parches, la capacidad del modelo y el intercambio de parámetros entre variables. El material proporcionado es código de implementación, no un experimento de trading: no informa de un universo de activos, un método de evaluación ni resultados de pronóstico.

Para uso cuantitativo, la arquitectura es un componente de modelado, no evidencia de una ventaja predictiva. Su rendimiento dependerá de la preparación de los datos, la longitud y el paso de los parches, la configuración del modelo, el procedimiento de entrenamiento y la validación fuera de muestra.
